Hytera DMR IP Connect Multi-Site Repeater Radio System
Hytera’s DMR IP Site Connect is designed for organizations operating across large or geographically separated areas that exceed the coverage of a single repeater. By linking multiple repeater sites over a standard IP network, IP Connect enables seamless communication across wide areas.
This system connects multiple DMR Tier II conventional repeaters across dispersed locations using third-party IP networks, including the internet, Local Area Networks (LANs), VPNs, or microwave links. Implementing IP Connect is straightforward, requiring only a simple license upgrade on the Hytera repeater, with no need for additional radio equipment.
The H-Series HR1062 Repeater supports IP Connect, allowing any fully DMR-compliant two-way radios to use the IP network as a carrier for DMR traffic.
Cost-Effective Wide Area Connectivity
Hytera’s IP Connect leverages an IP network to link multiple radio repeaters, providing extensive coverage and connecting several radio sites to form a larger radio network. This solution offers enhanced coverage, straightforward migration, and ease of use, supporting instant, real-time radio communications across town, state, or country. Hytera IP Connect ensures seamless, wide-area connectivity for your communication needs.

IP Connect Key Benefits
- Simple Deployments: IP Connect supports Hytera Repeater connectivity over various widely available IP networks, including the internet, private wide area networks, LANs, and VPNs. If the existing repeaters are Hytera, no new hardware is needed; simply install an IP connect license and configure the repeater.
- Convenient and Familiar Operation
Since IP Connect uses the DMR protocol, users don’t need to learn a new radio system. Group Calls, Individual Calls, and Emergency Calls operate as they normally do.
- Local and Wide Area Channel Programming
Talkgroups can be programmed to call users only on the local repeater or across the IP-connected multi-site network. This feature is particularly useful for school districts, where each campus can maintain local communications while being available for emergency broadcasts or other important calls across all campuses.
- Enhanced Coverage
IP Connect is ideal for extending coverage to shadowed or poor coverage areas, such as parking garages and below ground floors.
- True DMR Protocol
Hytera IP Connect carries the DMR protocol, meaning existing DMR radios, regardless of manufacturer, will work on the extended IP Connect radio system, allowing for flexible deployments without being locked into proprietary systems.
